These read-only resources describe films and link to their canonical watch pages and credited creators. They do not provide video files, transfer rights or certify every production claim. When sharing a film, credit its creator and link to its Brainy Movie page or original source.

Filter values are limited to 150 characters. Unknown parameters or invalid pagination return HTTP 400. Responses contain total, page, limit, items and the ordering methodology. An empty match is a valid empty list; a temporary data service failure is reported as unavailable.
What a film record contains
Each item includes title, canonical URL, slug, format, normalized listed language, runtime in seconds, genres, credited tools, short synopsis, poster URL, creator name/profile link when available and date added. Unknown values may be empty or null. Private accounts, email addresses, moderation notes, drafts and unpublished films are excluded.
Results are ordered by when the listing was added to Brainy Movie. added_at is not a film premiere or original upload date. This ordering makes no claim about quality, popularity or awards.
Follow recent additions
Subscribe to the RSS feed at /feed.xmlfor up to 50 recently added completed-film listings. Each item links to its watch page and includes its short synopsis. Feed publication dates describe when listings were added to Brainy Movie, not film premieres.
Responsible use and availability
Public JSON responses can be cached for 60 seconds and RSS for 300 seconds. JSON requests have an approximate limit of 60 requests per minute per edge client; this is not a globally strict quota. Reuse cached responses, request only the pages you need and back off on failures or HTTP 429. Published records can be corrected, archived or removed after editorial review. Do not treat a saved feed as a permanent authorization to reuse a film or its artwork.
The JSON catalogue and feed support useful browsing and integrations. Their availability does not guarantee indexing, search rankings or citations by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another service.
